Owl Carving

Worfield Endowed CE Primary School is part of a formal federation of three local schools; Worfield School, St. Mary’s Bluecoat CE Primary School and Beckbury CE Primary School. These schools have a single governing body. The schools share an Executive Headteacher, formally the substantive headteacher at Worfield School. Worfield School is in the Diocese of Hereford.

As a Church of England school the education offered is provided within a Christian framework. There are clear expectations about values, relationships and behaviour

There is a strong team ethos amongst an experienced staff; both teachers and teaching assistants are highly skilled and professional. The school has developed a reputation amongst the local authority and the diocese as a source of professional development for other schools.

There is also a private pre-school on site located in demountable accommodation. Click here for more information.

The school is situated just off the picturesque main street of half-timbered houses and old cottages, leading to the 12th century church and the Tudor manor house. The river Worfe runs through the school grounds and the adjoining nature trail provides an environmental resource for the pupils of this school in addition to our forest school area. The school was opened in 1846. The building being funded with money from ancient endowments.

We aim to create a stimulating and attractive learning environment for the children in our care, encouraging initiative, independence, self-confidence, tolerance, respect and a sense of responsibility among the pupils. We aim to promote the personal development of each child as an individual helping him or her to make a successful transition from school into the demanding world beyond. Pupils at all levels of ability are encouraged to reach their full potential whether their gifts be academic, sporting or creative.
